With the GENTLEMEN series, likely the last major work from the era of the legendary ZACK magazine, is being released for the first time in a complete album format. It includes numerous supplementary pages of background material about the series and its creators. The series first appeared in 1973 in issue 7/8 of the Italian magazine Corriere dei Ragazzi. The first German publication also appeared at the end of 1973 in Koralle-ZACK (51/1973). After the series was discontinued in Italy in 1977, the artists produced new material exclusively for the German market on behalf of Koralle Verlag. The series comprises approximately 60 stories, including five full-length albums and the remainder in the form of short stories. Some of the short stories have also been compiled into albums with a framing narrative. The complete series is estimated to be roughly 800 pages long. All stories have been published in Germany to date, either in various Koralle publications or by Ehapa Verlag. The exceptions are two crossovers (with "Diabolik" and "Martin Mystere").

The Finix complete edition will be the first complete and unified publication of "Gentlemen GmbH" in Germany, including the two crossover stories. Our publication will be based primarily on the current Nona Arte edition from Italy, which is still being published there and is planned to comprise 15 individual albums. According to Nona Arte, the stories will be published in complete chronological order. The Italian Nona Arte edition is also distinguished by the fact that it has redesigned all the pages originally developed for the magazine and its specific format into an album format, resulting in a completely new edition. Finix will combine two volumes into "doubles." Our complete edition will therefore consist of seven volumes, with the final volume thus comprising the equivalent of three individual volumes.
