Bernard-Pierre Molin: Asterix - Per aspera ad astra Comic Buch Neu
The brand new Asterix non-fiction book from the hit series! Beatings were not an Olympic sport in ancient Rome either, but they took it very seriously when it came to doping: Stimulating use of magic potions was strictly forbidden! Or is it? It's time for Asterix and history expert Bernard-Pierre Molin ("Tempus Fugit", "Indomitable Latin Quotations") to once again take a historical look at the Asterix adventures and check them for their truthfulness. This time it's about the history of sport, as always entertainingly told and richly illustrated. Biography (René Goscinny) René Goscinny, born in Paris in 1926, grew up in Buenos Aires and worked after graduating from high school, first as an assistant accountant and later as a draughtsman in an advertising agency. In 1945, Goscinny emigrated to New York. In 1946 he had to go to France to do his military service. Back in the USA, he worked again as an illustrator, then as artistic director at a children's book publisher. During a trip to France, Goscinny was hired by a Franco-Belgian press agency, which sent him to New York twice as a correspondent. He gave up drawing and started writing. He designed a lot of humorous articles, books and scripts for comics. René Goscinny died in 1977.
