The three friends Bea, Chantal and Zoe work in a dying shopping mall. They seem to have an intimate relationship in which Bea admires her friends for their strong personalities. She herself remains pale and has become accustomed to occasional jokes and humiliations. When Bea unexpectedly wins five million euros in the lottery, the focus is suddenly on her.
