Erkhmee and Selenge have become estranged from each other. Together they move into a hut in the Mongolian wilderness to recover from the stressful life in the big city and save their marriage. However, Erkmeeh's seemingly great desire to provide his wife with a safe place to live is at odds with the violent incidents that occur between the couple and are observed by their strange neighbor.
