Original version with German subtitles

Bob (Leslie Banks) and Jill Lawrence (Edna Best) are on a skiing holiday in St. Moritz with their daughter Betty (Nova Pilbeam). There, they befriend the Frenchman Louis Bernard (Pierre Fresnay), who is shot dead by an unknown assailant during a ball. As it later turns out, Louis Bernard was a spy who, with his dying breath, manages to whisper information to Jill about a planned assassination attempt in London. But when Betty is kidnapped shortly afterward by Abbott's (Peter Lorre) gang, they are too worried about their daughter to warn anyone and return to London without taking any action. There, they set out on their own to find their daughter and simultaneously try to thwart the gang's conspiracy.
