Bill and his family seem to have achieved their dreams when they move into their new house on the outskirts of town. After months of work, the divorced civil engineer has built a charming single-family home on the ruins of an old house, of which nothing remains but a monstrous chimney. He now moves in with his two children and his new girlfriend. Nothing is left to remind one of the eerie old building that once stood there. Except for the fireplace, which, at the time of their move, no one suspects once held the flames of damnation. Because the fireplace is the gateway to another, dark world.
