Michael Bluth could despair of his family: His father George is in custody for investment fraud. His mother Lucille can think of nothing but the loss of status and reputation. His older brother Gob is so unlucky as a part-time magician that even the Mage Association excludes him. His younger brother Buster has not yet been able to break away from his mother even at the age of 30. And his sister Lindsay has a more than bizarre marriage with the ex-psychiatrist and actor Tobias Fünke. Michael would like to throw everything away, but he doesn't want to do that to his son George-Michael, who longs for family security after the loss of his mother (not to mention his feelings for his cousin Maeby, which go far beyond the family). So Michael has no choice but to somehow keep his crazy, selfish relatives together and make sure that they don't completely ruin the ailing family business.
