Former NASA scientist Dr. DeMarco is tasked by a secret government agency with developing a deadly weapon. Assisted by his ruthless assistant Franchot, DeMarco begins gruesome experiments, using the corpses of criminals and scientists to transform them into terrifying zombie robots he calls "Astro-Zombies."
Meanwhile, a team of government agents and scientists, including the experienced Professor Holman, becomes aware of DeMarco's murderous activities. They desperately try to uncover the killer's identity and the motives behind the gruesome acts.
