The story centers on the young, highly gifted investment banker Jana Liekam, who works at a major international bank in Luxembourg.

When she's fired for someone else's mistake, her former boss, Christelle Leblanc, gets her a job at a bank in Frankfurt. Leblanc is also the one who gives Jana the tip about a highly attractive but extremely risky deal, which so impresses her new boss, Gabriel Fenger, that he puts her in charge of the project.

The pressure on Jana is mounting rapidly: the deal must be closed on time, while some team members are turning against her. At the same time, she owes Christelle Leblanc, who keeps making demands. When Jana realizes who is pulling the strings behind the scenes, she launches a counterattack that could jeopardize not only the existence of the major German bank...
