Spencer Timms is a game warden in a small Texas town that depends on the tourists who flock to its lake every summer. When a young woman is attacked and fatally injured by an aggressive shark in the lake, Timms does everything he can to stop it. A local fisherman appears to have caught a bull shark off the coast and released it into the lake. But neither the sheriff nor the mayor heeds Timms' warnings. They want the lake to remain open so the tourists can keep bringing money into the town's coffers. Only Timms' ex-wife, Dottie, believes him and is willing to help him trap the bloodthirsty beast. But is it really just one shark?
