Hank Thomas was a baseball prodigy in high school. Now he can't play anymore, but otherwise his life is going pretty well. He has a great girlfriend, works as a bartender in a New York bar, and his favorite team is fighting for the championship as the underdog. When his punk-rock neighbor Russ asks him to look after his cat for a few days, Hank suddenly finds himself in the middle of a motley crew of menacing gangsters.
