Months ago, Tommy helplessly watched as his pregnant wife was beaten into a coma by a pack of hooded street children, from which she never awoke. His young daughter remains his only glimmer of hope in an increasingly desperate gloom.

The horrific incident leaves its mark: Tommy now only ventures out of his apartment with the greatest effort, and in the deserted streets of the run-down neighborhood, he is pursued by scurrying shadows and whispered malice. Then the hooded figures return and vanish into the night with his daughter. Now Tommy must confront his greatest fear and return to where evil dwells—to that decaying, skyward-reaching apartment building known as "The Citadel"...
