After his partner and boss Marvin has made off with all the money from an uncovered insurance fraud, the financial manager Jimmy Cremming flees from the FBI to Bangkok and goes into hiding there. In Thailand, he learns that Marvin is hiding in the Cambodian jungle. In search of him, he meets the attractive archaeologist Sophie, who wants to start a new life with him in Laos. Then Jimmy is sent Marvin's severed foot as a warning and is suddenly in acute danger of his life...
