Product description

Congotanga, West Africa, has no extradition laws. The government is controlled by foreign gangsters, led by Carl Rittner. The latest plane from Europe transports Louise Whitman (fleeing a French murder charge) and Mannering, who pays the resident killer O'Connell to kill them. Through a chain of circumstances, Louise, O'Connell and the heroic surveyor David Carr end up alone in the jungle on Carr's mission to determine the true border of Congotanga ... in which Rittner is very interested.

This African-Western is set in an obscure jungle backwater area in Central Africa, where outlaws gather who want to evade arrest. Virginia Mayo, who is on the run from a murderer, and the hero George Nader, who works for the Belgian government and measures the country, come to this tropical enclave of vice to determine if it falls under the jurisdiction of the colonial government. Peter Lorre represents the forces of law and order as they are, and Rex Ingram plays the local doctor. The film, shot in Technicolor by Oscar winner Russell Metty, is celebrating its 65th anniversary here.
