A married couple has been attacked. After the woman is raped in front of her husband, they are both murdered. A young monk, who is to testify as a witness at the trial of the alleged perpetrator, encounters a poor farmer on his way to the hearing. This farmer is also scheduled to testify for the criminal at the same trial. As a storm approaches, they seek shelter in a cave. A beggar lives there who also witnessed the Khan's crime. He recounts the events to the two men from his perspective... This remake of the classic film depicts a violent crime from different viewpoints: what is truth, what is fiction? The film plays with and critically examines subjective human perception.
