David Weiss's (Jackson Rathbone) New York bookstore is doing badly, and he rejects creative ideas from his employee Michael (David Maler) to revive the business. His life takes a new turn when he learns from his mother Clara (Carol Halstead) about the inheritance of his unknown father, who was believed to be dead for a long time. He has bequeathed him a luxury villa in the holiday paradise of the Dominican Republic. Arriving on the holiday island, real estate agent Maria (Nashla Bogaert) turns David's head.
