Tough trucker Sally can't wait to pick up her brother Dennis from prison. Because with the end of the multi-year prison sentence, the blackmail of his violent fellow inmates, who force Sally to smuggle illegal cargo across the state borders on board her truck, should also stop. Shortly before Dennis' release, however, she is supposed to take over one last delivery. After learning that it is a girl, Sally initially wants to refuse the assignment, but finally agrees out of fear for her brother's life. When the little girl shoots the man who is supposed to pick her up at the handover location, Sally has to flee with her – pursued by retired investigator Gerick, a young FBI agent and the unscrupulous human traffickers who want their precious goods back at any price.
