The respected travel writer Bill Bryson is bored by his monotonous retiree life in the USA. Instead of retiring, he decides to take on one last big challenge: hiking the Appalachian Trail, which stretches over 3500 kilometers long from Georgia to Maine. Since his wife forbids him to go alone and refuses all friends, he is finally accompanied by his old, overweight and ailing friend Stephen Katz, with whom he traveled through Europe decades ago. The unlikely friends experience numerous strange and challenging situations on their arduous hike through the wilderness. New product
