"Fast Guns for Jeannie Lee" is an early Spaghetti Western full of wonderful clichés: young Clementine runs the mine she inherited from her father and is thus the last bulwark against the greedy businessman Zack Williams, who has his sights set on that very mine, the last one in the area that he doesn't yet own. Clementine is harassed and intimidated, and her mine shipments are ambushed by the villainous Pancho Bogan and his gang at Williams's behest. These evil schemes are opposed by the tough owner of the local saloon, Jeannie Lee, the gunslinger Laramie, and the sheriff, who turn the tide. The titular Jeannie Lee is played by Madeleine Lebeau (of "Casablanca" fame), while the film's hero, Laramie, is portrayed by Guy Madison, for whom this was the first European Western of his career, before countless Spaghetti Westerns followed well into the 1970s.
