Ramón and his father own a small farm and, like all the other settlers in the area, are pressured by the landowner Barrett to sell the land to him. Those who defend themselves against Barrett and his henchmen usually pay with their lives. Ramón's father is also killed and the farm is burned down. Ramón is out for revenge and plans to lure Barrett's men, especially the brutal Burt, who has his father on his conscience, into an ambush. In the meantime, however, Barrett has set the notorious killer Rocco on Burt, as his drastic methods displease even the large landowner. In his attempt at revenge, Ramón is seriously injured, but by chance he meets Rocco, who nurses him back to health. Unaware of their two roles, the men become friends and Rocco teaches Ramón the killer trade ...
