In the small Breton town of Paimpont, the world is still in order: the primary school teacher knows everything better, the supermarket owner has a serious drinking problem, the Alsatian plumber is more Breton than the locals, and the village policeman couldn't be more simple-minded and tone-deaf. So it's not exactly a welcome development when a new family arrives to breathe new life into the village community. Especially since the newcomers aren't from Ukraine, as expected, but from Syria, and they're also intelligent. What's more, they know how to make truly delicious galette dough.
