Arthur and Felix are best friends, even though they couldn't be more different. Arthur lends his health insurance card to his down-on-his-luck friend Felix and learns that Felix is terminally ill. However, due to his inability to talk openly about things, he gets so tangled up in the situation that Felix ends up believing his best friend is going to die! So Felix begins to care for the healthy Arthur and initiate him into the art of living. It's obvious that this can't last. But in the end, Arthur learns about life, and Felix learns to love.
