Heinrich Krogmann, a former merchant ship captain, is not exactly a likeable fellow. The old seaman is now retired and runs a small, upscale guesthouse. One day, he is found dead. Murder is suspected, but his family and secretary would prefer to sweep the matter under the rug. So they decide to find the culprit themselves. In doing so, more and more shadows from Heinrich Krogmann's past come to light...
