Marianne and Juliane are sisters. Born during the war and raised in the "leaden times" of the 1950s, both fought for social change in the course of the '68 movement. But their paths are so different that they become opponents. While Juliane is involved as an editor of a feminist women's magazine, Marianne joins an underground organization.
