Sheriff Hamish (William Conrad) rides across the border into Mexico to execute a warrant for the arrest of the suspected murderer Kallen (Anthony Quinn). Although Kallen protests his innocence, he eventually agrees to accompany him. The ride back becomes a real test for both of them, as they unexpectedly encounter Native Americans on the warpath during the long, arduous journey.
