The film tells the story of a young rodeo rider and horse whisperer in South Dakota who manages to gain the trust of wild horses. After a near-fatal riding accident, he has to find his way back to life. Will he ever again feel the feeling of freedom that flows through him on the back of a horse? Authentic and sensitive, the film describes the special relationship between man and horse. In doing so, he keeps the balance between tender poetry, archaic myths and the harsh reality of life in the American heartland.
