In the 7th century, two neighboring tribes fight for power, while hordes of hostile Avars additionally threaten their existence. In the settlement of Veliki Stil, the mystical young healer Draha protects the inhabitants from diseases with herbal potions. While searching for herbs, Draha finds a badly wounded stranger in the forest, whom she brings to the village against the will of the inhabitants to heal him.
