Jenny will only run a retired colleague's family practice in the 60,000-inhabitant city of Seraing for a few more days before she takes up a much more prestigious position. When the doorbell rings long after the end of the consultation hours, Jenny does not open the door: "If it had really been an emergency, they would have rang the bell a second time," she explains to her student intern Julien. But then the next day the police are at the door - during the night a woman's body was found nearby. The videotapes show that it was the nameless black woman who rang the doorbell at the practice shortly before her death. Plagued by feelings of guilt, Jenny conducts private investigations to find out more about the identity of the deceased...
