Munich's Thibaut Fismard is having a hard time. His mother had married a Belgian engineer during the war, who disappeared immediately after the war. The mother raised the little son alone. Already at school and with neighbors, later when looking for an apprenticeship, the fact that he is not a German in the sense of the paragraphs sticks to him like a blemish. The opportunities open to his peers are closed to him, "the Belgian". The people of Munich have turned his strange name into "Tibo". When Tibo is suspected of having stolen a moped and ends up in front of the juvenile judge, the course is set for a slide. Tibo does not receive a work permit and certainly not German citizenship. But suddenly new paths open up for Tibo ... The film "The Wrong Passport for Tibo", which deals with an explosive and still topical topic, was produced in the summer of 1979 and first shown on German television in 1980. The title role is played by the popular actor Hansi Kraus. Well-known actors such as Michaela May, Franz-Xaver Kroetz and Wilfried Klaus can be admired in other leading roles. The role of master baker has been taken over by Willy Harlander. Stephan Rinser is responsible for the direction.
