Alec has always looked at life through the lens of film production, which he runs from home together with his father Dylan. He shoots and edits the films in which his father plays the leading role. When the two move to a sleepy coastal town, Alec hopes for a fresh start and tries to make friends without giving up his unconventional everyday life. Everything changes when he meets Nina at a school project, who gives him a new perspective on the world.
