Eddie Brock has been living with the alien parasite Venom inside his body for some time now, and the two have more or less come to terms with each other. However, Venom's main goal is to spend all day beating up villains and satisfying his insatiable hunger, while Eddie struggles to revive his career as a journalist. A suitable opportunity arises with the serial killer Cletus Kasady, whose victims have still not been found and who will only speak to Eddie about his crimes.
