Michelle spends her retirement in an idyllic village in Burgundy, very close to her long-time friend Marie-Claude. When her daughter Valérie comes by and Michelle accidentally serves her poisonous mushrooms, the already tense relationship between the women escalates. Valérie accuses her mother of murderous intentions and forbids her any contact with her beloved grandson Lucas. Michelle plunges into a deep depression. But then Marie-Claude's son is released from prison - ready to help his mother's best friend.
