Agropelter is a progressive rock project from Norway. It's the creative outlet of Kay Olsen, a rising star in the Norwegian prog scene. The music draws inspiration from classic prog groups like Genesis, Camel, King Crimson, and Eloy, as well as from composers like Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, Bach, Vangelis, and Terje Rypdal. The debut album features a wide array of Mellotron, Hammond organ, ARP, harpsichord, Minimoog, and Taurus bass pedals. Kay Olsen played all the guitars, bass, church organ, and keyboard leads. Also featured are Jonas Reingold (Steve Hackett, The Flower Kings, Kaipa, Karmakanic) on fretless bass, Mattias Olsson (Änglagård, White Willow, Molesome) on drums, vintage synth overdubs and atmosphere, Andreas Sjøen (Umpfel, VÅDE, Sean Ashe) on drums, and many classical musicians on various string and woodwind instruments.
