It happens that a new band appears out of nowhere and takes the hearts of melodic metal fans by storm. ALTARIA, with their 2003 debut "Invitation" can certainly be considered as such. Founded by ex-BLINDSIDE members Marko Pukkila (bass) and Tony Smedjebacka (drums) in 2000 and after a few demos recorded together with guitarist Jani Liimatainen (ex-SONATA ARCTICA), the band experiences such a massive response from the fans that the debut album was recorded and Emppu Vuorinen (NIGHTWISH) joined as an additional guitarist. The first release will be a re-release of ALTARIA's second album DIVINITY. It will be remastered and released as a limited edition vinyl and CD. The CD will also contain two bonus tracks. In 2020, ALTARIA will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a brand new album! Be curious!
