The Rosenstolz singer passed away in March 2025. Shortly before her death, she recorded 10 new songs, which, at her request, are to be released under the title "Courage to Love." Frank Wiedermann, AnNa R.'s manager, explained: "AnNa would have wanted this album to be released. Her fans deserve to hear these wonderful songs. I can already say that it will be very emotional and personal." After the tremendous Top 10 success of her solo debut album "König: in" (2023), AnNa R. longed to return to the stage. She wanted to be close to her fans. A wish that was mutual. The tour for the album was almost completely sold out and had to be extended until late summer 2024. Even during the concert tour, the former voice of Rosenstolz, Gleis 8, and Silly was itching to write more songs. Thoughts yearned to be formulated, (self-)observations wrestled within her soul, vying for poetic expression. Added to this was an almost incredulous horror at the spirit of the times. Two questions loomed ever closer in her mind at the end of last year: Why do weapons, violence, and mistrust speak such a deafeningly loud language? Is there a lack of courage for humanity and love? Ideas flew back and forth between AnNa R. and her creative partner, Manne Uhlig. After ten new songs were composed in early 2025, the album "Courage to Love" was finally recorded. All involved quickly agreed: The LP contains the best songs AnNa had ever wanted to release under her own name. "Courage to Love" electrifies, mobilizes, makes you dance and feel. The dozen or so fresh, bold, yet consistently empathetic songs instill fearlessness, courage, and solace in difficult times. The euphoria was great enough to follow the new "Courage to Love" chapter with an extensive concert tour, scheduled to begin the following autumn. But then the unthinkable happened. Death knocked on AnNa's door far too soon, bringing her many plans to an abrupt end. And so, "Courage to Love" has become AnNa's powerful legacy, a resounding, bold stroke in the thicket of lost compassion. Both her personal and professional circles are certain: The magnificent artist, whose work reached and moved millions, would have wished for her new songs, which are also her last, to be heard loud and clear. And when the album takes a quiet turn, as in the breathtaking ballad "Wer weiß wer weiß" (Who Knows Who Knows), the listener's soul opens up completely.
