The debut album from AVTT/PTTN, a collaboration between The Avett Brothers and Mike Patton. In 2019, Scott Avett and Mike Patton connected after Avett expressed his admiration for Patton in an interview, prompting Patton's management team to get in touch. Patton told Avett he was open to collaborating should Avett be interested. About a year later, Avett sent Patton some song demos that blew him away.
The exchange of songs and sounds between The Avett Brothers and Mike Patton continued until, a few years later, they had a complete album of songs – and AVTT/PTTN was born. The Avetts and Patton didn't meet in person until the album was finished. The entire album was created remotely.
