Backyard Babies, formed in Nässjö in 1987, can rightfully be called Sweden's most influential glam-punk band. Between 1994 and 2019, they released eight studio albums, both of which, "Making Enemies Is Good" and "Stockholm Syndrome," earned them a Swedish Grammy. In 2005, they released their only live album, recorded on May 6, 2004, at La Maroquinerie, featuring electrifying, turbocharged renditions of album hits such as "Minus Celsius," "Earn the Crown," and "Brand New Hate." The skills of guitarist Dregen (of The Hellacopters fame) drive the performance forward with ruthless dedication, while vocalist Nicke Borg keeps the crowd energized between songs, contributing to the immediacy of a tightly recorded live album.
