Finally! Better Lovers have announced their debut album »Highly Irresponsible« for fall 2024.
The hardcore supergroup consists of former Dillinger Escape Plan singer Greg Puciato, former Every Time I Die members Jordan Buckley, Clayton "Goose" Holyoak and Stephen Micciche, and Fit for an Autopsy guitarist (and heavy music producer) Will Putney, if you've been living under a rock so far. The band released their debut EP God Made Me An Animal last summer and released a raw, standalone song with »The Flowering« earlier this year.
Guitarist Jordan Buckley comments on the album:
"Writing and recording our first full album was a bit more surgical than the EP, but had a similar lack of mastery. I feel more pressure to give a quote for this press release than I have felt all winter in Will's studio. I was able to wake up every day and watch the masters perfect their craft. I was a student. It was a playground. Everything was funny. We read each other's minds. In some places, we have even created our own language. I didn't know if I was watching my closest friends write music, or if I was watching music use us to exist. The voice in my head warning me that it would be highly irresponsible to jump on this bull again was gone. In their place came big ideas, inside jokes and a rekindled love to help write songs that sound like nothing else. Humans and animals alike are programmed to do wild things for what they love. Extremely irresponsible things. And we love what we have created. We know you will too."
Frontman Greg Puciato adds:
"New album. The first in full length. It's typical to say that, but we're excited to get it out. Everyone really gave their best for the album and got the best out of themselves, and that goes for everyone behind the scenes. To be honest, I'm just happy that I put the word 'buddy' in a song."
