Big Big Train: Woodcut CD Neu
Big Big Train, the award-winning progressive rock band, is releasing its 16th studio album. »Woodcut« is a milestone for the international group, whose members come from England, Scotland, Italy, the USA, Sweden and Norway, as it is their first complete concept album. "The story doesn't take place in a specific time, but is about an artist who struggles with life," begins founding member Gregory Spawton. He goes for a walk, finds a piece of heartwood, and creates something that he finds beautiful and unique. Maybe it's a dream, or maybe it's reality, but he suddenly finds himself in this Narnia-like woodcut world." »Woodcut« is a joint work of the band, in which all seven members make impressive contributions. Frontman Alberto Bravin took over the production: "This time it's a kind of new beginning for the band. 'Woodcut' is a big step forward for us," he comments. The album is adorned with a striking cover design by Dorset-based artist Robin Mackenzie – a black-and-white woodblock print, which of course comes from a woodcut that the band commissioned from him especially for the album. The album is available as a limited CD + Blu-ray edition with extensive liner notes as well as Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound mixes by Shawn Dealey of Sweetwater Studios. It is also released as a noble gatefold double LP (180g) with embossed cover, as a standard CD in a jewel case and digitally in stereo and Dolby Atmos.
