Product description

The expectations for Bosse's new album are huge, expectations for which the Hamburg musician himself is responsible: he touched too many people with his songs, too many people found themselves in his linguistic images, too many people were enthusiastic after his countless sold-out concerts. The album "Kraniche" easily exceeds these expectations. It marks a new stage for Axel Bosse. He enchants with stories that reflect life, he is a loving chronicler of everyday life. His unique linguistic images find their musical expression in the airy and light production, which nevertheless always radiates self-confidence and grandeur. Many of his new songs were written in Istanbul. But the musician has also written some of his songs in his home town of Hamburg. The album was produced by Philipp Steinke (Boy) in Berlin and in a remote country house in Umbria. All places that have shaped the soul of this album. Because the sounds on "Kraniche" are more multifaceted than ever. Axel BOSSE has captivated us at the latest with his last album "Wartesaal". With his songs full of intimacy, honesty and feeling, the Hamburg native touched us. And after his completely sold-out "Wartesaal Tour", BOSSE has withdrawn for the time being. With his daughter and his German / Turkish wife he went to Istanbul and took some time off. "Istanbul came just at the right time after these two exhausting years. My voice was broken and my head was empty. There was the basic fear that there would simply be nothing good at some point. I was able to rest there, do something different. We lived right on Taksim Square. From the balcony we could see ships and outside the door the street was crowded day and night. And at some point between the hustle and bustle and the boating, the melodies and ideas came back." Many of his new songs were written in Istanbul. Something has happened in the last two years. With the one who sat with us in the "waiting room". In the "waiting room to be happy". With supported heads that were too full and heavy, we waited together at that time. But then something happened. With BOSSE. Axel BOSSE was gone for the time being. Out into the world. Left the garden gnomes behind. He will be back in spring 2013. With new songs and with a new album. It is his fifth and tellingly bears the title "Cranes". And it's full of life. "Kraniche" is an album that you can only write if you have enjoyed a clear view and discovered new perspectives. He looked at things and our existence from above. And when you realize - suddenly detached from the small or large trivialities and constraints - how overwhelmingly beautiful and relaxed and peaceful everything can be. Carried from above, the senses work differently. The head becomes empty, the heart becomes full. The BOSSE who tells us about life and his life on "Kraniche" is a different BOSSE than the one we know from back then. He is an artist who has seen new horizons and found a new center. A centre that we wish would also be our centre. A center of exuberant richness of feelings and liberating serenity in the face of what is commonly defined as "life" today. That's how it has to be.
