Product description

Relaxed, minimalist electronic and acoustic pearls from 1976. "Sowiesoso" is the successor to Cluster's most acclaimed album "Zuckerzeit". While the influence of Michael Rother, with whom Cluster had recorded two albums under the name Harmonia, was still clearly audible on the latter, Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius set out to find their own new form of music in 1976. Like no other Cluster album, "Sowiesoso" stands for the duo's utopian musical design. With its relaxation and transparency, it represents the landscape of the Weser Uplands, where the two musicians lived at the time. "Sowiesoso" shows clusters in their purest and least influenced form at a peak of their development. The album's minimalist music is a rhythmic weave of partly electronic, partly acoustic elements; it does not follow a traditional song scheme, and yet its harmony almost has something song-like, something peculiar to cluster music that is difficult to describe in words. In the accompanying text, Asmus Tietchens nevertheless tries to do so. Tracklisting Sowiesoso Halwa Dem Wanderer Umleitung Zum Wohl Es war einmal In Ewigkeit
