It is considered one of the greatest live albums in rock history – “Made In Japan.” In a 2012 Rolling Stone magazine readers' poll, the Deep Purple classic ranked 6th among the “Best Live Albums of All Time.” “Made In Japan” was recorded at three concerts between August 15 and 17, 1972, at the Festival Hall in Osaka and the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. Originally, the release was intended only for the Japanese market. Four tracks are taken from the 1972 album “Machine Head,” featuring what fans consider to be their best lineup: Ian Gillan (vocals), Ritchie Blackmore (guitars), Roger Glover (bass), Jon Lord (organ, keyboards), and Ian Paice (drums).
