Five years ago, Feine Sahne Fischfilet released their last album, which propelled the group from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to their first high chart position, reaching number 3, and subsequently achieving what is commonly referred to as their "big breakthrough." This was unusual for a band founded in 2004 by a few school friends in a provincial town, primarily to make a difference in their immediate surroundings, not to complain and wait for others to do something for them, but to take action themselves in every respect – personally, politically, and in every other way.

In the following years, they toured constantly, first in youth centers in their home region, then across all the clubs and autonomous centers in the country, eventually becoming regulars at the most important festivals in the German-speaking world. Their own concerts also grew in size, with venues and open-air events getting bigger and bigger. Feine Sahne Fischfilet embraced their audience when things got heated. And things were always heated. Everything was there: disillusionment, drunkenness, fun, agitation, reason, mayhem, and excess. And because the band repeatedly got involved in politics and ruffled feathers, trouble is practically guaranteed and often a constant. Nazis, the AfD (Alternative for Germany party), and local and national right-wing extremists of all stripes repeatedly put obstacles in the band's way. "Alles auf Rausch" (All About Getting High) was the name of one of their concert tours during this period, and that's exactly how Feine Sahne Fischfilet operated until they took an extended break at the end of 2019. Sometimes they soared, sometimes they crashed and burned. But every high is followed by a hangover…

All this madness, all these ambivalences, all the good days and all the bad days are the subject of the songs on their new album "Alles glänzt" (Everything Shines), great songs that straddle the line between emotion and raw power. And one of Feine Sahne Fischfilet's particular strengths is also fully on display on this new work: they constantly push musical boundaries, making their uptempo punk rock a multifaceted listening experience that will not only get their fans' feet moving, but also their hearts.

The 12 new songs of »Alles glänzt« were produced by Philipp »Philsen« Hoppen, who is known and celebrated for his production work for Die Ärzte, Kraftklub and KIZ, among others.
