Floods - Splitter CD New
Since 2007 there have been floods and the split EP with We Fade To Grey (2007), known to insiders, gave a good idea, but not the outstanding class with which the now released debut album can come. With the ten songs on "Splitter", the post-punk / hardcore band skips several classes at the same time in order to settle right at the top of the quality among the not a few and highly competent genre colleagues. With a compelling mixture of punk, wave, hardcore and indie rock with a touch of electro influences, lyrically kept in a successful balancing act of German and English, "Splitter" grabs at the first listen with a driving and melodic sound, experienced stop-and-go rhythms as well as an ingenious balance between noise and sensitivity, dissonance and pop. Songs like "Sur l'eau", "Black Waves", "Zwischen Den Worte" or "Krisis" are perfect blueprints for a contemporary indie-punk design, as it is perhaps also represented by colleagues like Adolar, Genepool, Captain Planet or old hands like Q And Not U or At The Drive-In. This album has what it takes to become one of the leading genre releases of the year from a standing start. Produced by Hauke Albrecht (Turbostaat, Captain Planet) mastered by Fabian Tormin (Findus, Mediengruppe Telekommander).
