Frank Zappa: Cheaper Than Cheep (180g) Vinyl 3 LPs Neu
In the early 70s, television was an important means of making musicians known within their own four walls. Frank Zappa, who was fully equipped with his touring light show and stage set-up, tried to record video footage for his own television production to offer to the major broadcasters. Just like during the filming of »The Roxy Performances« months earlier, there were technical problems that ultimately led to the footage being put aside. 50 years later, with the advances in editing tools for post-processing, we present "Cheaper Than Cheep". This new 2-hour concert program features classic performances by the 1974 Mothers line-up, straight from the newly restored original audio and videotape masters from the archive. The official Zappa release No. 130 will be released in a special, limited Super Deluxe Edition with the remastered concert video and brand new Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround and stereo mix on a Blu-ray, the stereo soundtrack on 2 CDs and 3 LPs on 180 grams of black vinyl, an extensive booklet with rare, previously unreleased images and liner notes by Ruth Underwood and Joe Travers, all packed in a pull-out slipcase. Other formats include a complete 2-CD + Blu-ray and a standalone soundtrack on 3 LPs on 180 grams of black vinyl.
