For this new Gogol Bordello album, songwriter Eugene Hutz set out to fuse post-punk textures and aggression with Gogol Bordello's signature gypsy punk. To achieve this, he chose to collaborate with the production team of Nick Launay (Gang of Four, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Idles) and Adam "Atom" Greenspan (Nick Cave, Idles, Flogging Molly). Together with his longtime band, they crafted twelve incredibly powerful and catchy tracks. The title track, "We Mean It, Man!", is brimming with punk intensity, culminating in a no-wave saxophone riff. "No Time For Idiots" is a Strummer/Jones-esque riff-punk number with a massive chorus. "Life Is Possible Again" expresses optimism in the face of the fear of war in Ukraine. "Solidarity" is a Cockney Rejects solidarnosc punk anthem reinterpreted by Bernard Sumner of New Order to address the war effort in Ukraine.
