Product description

The feeling of being lost Back in May 2021, Holly Humberstone released her new single, "The Walls Are Way Too Thin," a personal song about loneliness. It came about when Holly was living in London and felt isolated in the big city. She escaped by train to visit her friends back home. She wrote the song on one of these train journeys. And that's the title track for her new EP, "The Walls Are Way Too Thin." "This EP is about the feeling of being lost. It's the kind of lostness that makes you question who you are and where you belong. So lost that maybe someone has to find you because you can't find yourself. That's how it felt moving to Liverpool and then London, wandering back and forth between cities and never settling down," says the British pop singer and songwriter. »The Walls Are Way Too Thin« is already the second EP from Humberstone, the successor to »Falling Asleep At The Wheel« from 2020. She wrote and recorded six songs for the album. In August, she released her second single, "Please Don't Leave Just Yet," which she co-wrote with The 1975 singer Matty Healy. "The song is about wanting someone to stay, even if it's just for five minutes, because you know how much it hurts when they leave. I think the desperation in the words really sums up how I was feeling at the time, and how so many people must have felt over the past year, when we were all completely starved for human connection! I often write songs with a picture in my head, and I kept picturing lonely places, like drifting far out at sea, so far away you can't find your way back, or old abandoned freight yards with all the lights on the edge of town," the singer said about the track and her songwriting process. The third single, "Scarlett," was released in September. "The Walls Are Way Too Thin" is available as a record on classic black vinyl and as a CD in a digipak with insert. CD 2021 New
