Product description

On their new album, "I Just Want To Be A Sound," Kadavar sound freer and more inspired than ever before. This marks the provisional culmination of a musical evolution for the Berlin-based band that began, at the latest, with their third album, "Berlin." Previously, the trio was quite clearly categorized as belonging to a backward-looking retro or vintage rock sound. But since then, it's been clear that Kadavar are capable of much more than simply sounding as authentically—and extremely successfully—"old" as possible. Now, with their seventh studio album, the band catapults their sound definitively into new dimensions. Kadavar have never sounded as catchy and uplifting as on "I Just Want To Be A Sound." This may also be due to the influence of new member Jascha Kreft. The multi-instrumentalist is known from his band Odd Couple; here, he enriches the songs with a second guitar and synthesizers. The album moves seamlessly between rock anthems, ballads, and epic moments—always full of energy and change. The fantastic production by Max Rieger, who is himself one of the most sought-after German artists under the names All diese Gewalt and Die Nerven, contributes significantly to this. His nuanced sound reveals many exciting details while still allowing the music to retain its rough edges.
