For "Off The Record", the former Kraftwerk musician opens his music archive for the first time. Karl Bartos has rediscovered and analyzed hundreds of audio tapes, sheet music and digital storage media. Rhythms, riffs, hooks, sounds and melodies that Bartos composed during his most successful time with Kraftwerk and documented in his acoustic diary. Twelve new songs were created from the most exciting finds, resulting in an original Bartos album: iron crystal music, robot sounds, digital glitch, techno-pop, melodies for eternity, electronic avant-garde, thunderous silence, futurism.
