Kettcar Good Mood Unfairly Distributed CD New
Hamburg-based label Grand Hotel van Cleef is announcing, with great anticipation and celebration, the sixth studio album from indie rock band Kettcar. It's titled "Gute Laune ungerechtverteilung" (Good Mood Unfairly Distributed). The long-awaited follow-up to "Ich vs. Wir" (Me vs. Us) (2017, "One of the most powerful and important German albums of the year" - spiegel.de) was produced by Simon Frontzek, Rudi Maier, Philipp Schwär, and Philipp Steinke. On "Gute Laune ungerechtverteilung," Kettcar paint the whole picture – both lyrically and musically. Raw post-punk storms, acoustic passages, spoken word. What style are you looking for? They're all here. The twelve songs tell stories from, on, and about Bayreuth, hospital rooms, Rügen, the supermarket, the Enterprise, and the Blue Lagoon. Sometimes with a clenched fist, sometimes with a heart in its throat. The first single from the album is "München" (Munich), a song you certainly wouldn't expect from a band from Hamburg.
